At HIS knives we craft a wide array of fixed blade knives ranging in size from minatures up to fifteen inches in length. We work in high carbon steels including but not limited to 1095, 8670M, 01, and D2. We also use 440C and CM154 stainless steels. Our pattern welded (damascus) blades and guards are hand forged in our shop from 1095 and 15-N-20 steels. We produce full tang, hidden tang, stick tang, and taper tang knives.
Although giraffe bone and mammoth ivory are my preference in handle material we carry several stablized burls, heart woods, iron wood, black walnut, horn, sambar stag, and micarta.
We use brass, nickle silver, and stainless steel, for guards, pins, and bolsters, as well as mosaic pins and all colors of liners to produce knives that are functional and pleasing to look at.
Our knives come complete with a custom fit, hand crafted sheath.
